Some bands ease in. Splitview doesn't.
The Connecticut-based grungegaze band has announced their debut EP, Believe You'll Be Alright, dropping April 10 via Static Era Records. After building momentum with a string of singles, the band is stepping into a fuller release produced by John Naclerio at Nada Recording, leaning into a mix of vulnerable vocals, heavy guitars, and big, memorable melodies.
They're previewing it with the new single "Denial," out now alongside a video directed by Jimmy Barbetti. The track moves between sullen, hazy moments and heavier bursts, mirroring the tension in the lyrics. Vocalist Erik Brzoska describes it as emotionally back-and-forth, with early lines foreshadowing the weight of past decisions before the chorus shifts into self-reflection.
The video keeps it intimate. Brzoska is shown writing in notebooks, likely piecing together lyrics, while the band is intercut performing in the same bedroom space. It gives the whole thing a raw, lived-in feel, like you're watching the song come together in real time rather than a polished end product.
For a debut, this feels locked in.
