Los Angeles screamo upstarts Knumears are keeping the momentum alive with the release of their blistering new single "My Name." The track arrives as the latest preview of their forthcoming debut album Directions, out April 3 via Run For Cover Records and Summer Shade Records.
Described as a screamo tour de force, Directions aims to reinvigorate the genre through sheer passion and urgency. "My Name" follows lead single "Fade Away," which previously caught the attention of outlets including Stereogum, Alternative Press, BrooklynVegan, and Revolver, signaling that Knumears are quickly becoming a name to watch in the modern heavy landscape.
"My Name" wastes no time establishing its intensity. The track opens with a blown-out bass line that immediately sets a volatile tone before launching full speed into shredded vocals and distortion-soaked guitars.
