NOELLE SUCKS GETS VULNERABLE IN HER NEWEST SINGLE, “SICK LITTLE STAR”

Be careful what you ask for—songstress Noelle Sucks learned this the hard way. Even the brightest stars become disillusioned sometimes; people can be disappointing, even ourselves. However, sometimes, the hardest part is discovering you have outgrown a dream you craved so badly. Noelle's newest single, "Sick Little Star," candidly talks about the double-edged sword that is getting everything that you want.
I've been keeping up with Noelle's career from the moment she signed to Emo Nite LA's flagship label, Graveboy Records. From "Ugly Ugly" to "Sick Little Star," she's showcased palpable growth, from her production choices to her lyricism. She had already found her creative calling in her specific signature sound. However, now, lyrically, she's reached entirely new heights.
Noelle had this to say about the latest track: "
Vulnerability is Noelle's greatest gift as a lyricist. She's opened up before, definitely in "Ugly Ugly," but "Sick Little Star" holds heavier weight. Maybe I'm just projecting my own, similar experiences onto it—but that's the point. If I, a seasoned music critic, get teary-eyed from a peer's work, she's gotta be doing something right. We have grown alongside each other; it's fantastic to see how parallel these realities can be.
I keep saying this about each of Noelle's newest releases, but "Sick Little Star" is her best yet. Sonically, it's catchy and will appeal to a broad audience off the bat. Lyrically, though, Noelle's "sick little star" shines brightly. Her pain is heard clearly in the lead vocal; sure, her technical skill is impressive, but you can't fake that kind of emotion. Though the dream may not always be as great as it's portrayed, Noelle is exactly where she was meant to be.
