NORTH CAROLINA'S SAM ISLAND MAKES DEBUT WITH NEW SINGLE "LIGHT"

Indie folk singer-songwriter and producer Sam Island has been crafting his sound that genuinely connects the listener through raw vulnerability and passion. His long-awaited debut is finally here, with his single release "Light". A song that Island says was written during a difficult time in his life. "Light was written by myself and co-produced by King Garbage," says Island. "I started making this album in my home as my daughter was born. My father was being incarcerated and the pandemic was peaking in the U.S", he continues. "My family had little contact with the outside world of our circle, and my daughter was my light in the dark."
