Ocean Child is the brainchild of Chicago rocker Marco Landaverde. He began this bristling, indie-pop meets alt-rock project when he was still in high school. After self-releasing his tunes online, Landaverde eventually turned his creative outlet into a rollicking, full-fledged band. Ocean Child's new, aptly named single "Sun" feels like a sonic ray of sunshine. The band's rhythm section exudes buoyant energy from the get-go [check out those hi-hat chokes!], while the guitar tones sound like ethereal bits of stardust particles floating through the cosmos. Add Landaverde's oh-so-inviting vocal delivery into the mix and you've got one captivating tune.
